Anyone have any advice? We have an offsite office that has three analog lines that come in to the building and attach (after much looping around, bridging and other mess) to (5) venture three line telephone (aastra) which all ring to the same number in separate cubicles in the same office.. Recently the pstn had a hit during a storm and ever since, the venture phones have problems with their vmail light blinking even though there is no messages there. Since then they are also having problems picking up calls when incoming.
Also, for several years (or so they tell me now, first I have heard of it) when you pick up the phone to make a call, the phone gives a series of beep, beep, beep before finding dial tone. I suspect this is a seperate issue.
All equipment looks correct, normal. Telco claims they did not change anything.
What would cause all 5 phones to suddenly start acting this way if they did not change something that is now incompatible w/ such an old setup?
