Vector Mask For Reverse Arc of Ellipse 1

1. History
New 50 x 50 pxl
New Layer
Rectangle Tool (Layer 2, #2A5C4B)
Ellipse Tool (Paths, Subtract From Selection)
Tranform Path
(Top Middle Anchor to Top Left of Rect)
(Bottom Middle Anchor to Lower Right of Rect)
Delete Vector Mask (guess was auto inserted and prevented what i needed to do)
Add Vector Mask, Current Path

The above gets me a "rounded corner" piece of pie, but i want the other side of the pie! how do i get that?

so it should look like one side of an archway.

Thanks for any guidance.

 
...start with a shape layer with a square, then add the circle to that layer with "subtract from shape" enabled, click on the path selection tool, black arrow, then click combine in the toolbar...

...in short you need to do the opposite to what you are currently doing...
