Can anyone help me to choice the best format for a logo (full color) I have created in Illustrator to import it into PageMaker and keep the same quality and transparency.

Also any helpful hints when scanning a logo(full color) to be put into a layout in Pagemaker, how do I manipulate it to keep a fairly good quality in Photoshop or is another program suggested?

For vector images, your best bet is to convert it to EPS in Illustrator, then place that image using PMs place command. Do not try to copy andpaste the EPS and do not try to place the AI file. It may show up as having a white border, if you rotate the image 1 degree the border will go away (or you can leave it unrotated, the image will be transparent when printed to a PS printer or converted to PDF.

For scanning, scan at a minimum of 300 lpi, save as a TIFF and not a JPG. JPG is a lossy format, every time you save you lose quality.

hope this helps

When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
