When you place a bitmap image in Illustrator, the control palette at the top of the work area has a Live Trace button. Clicking this button changes the control palette to Live Trace options.

I saved my jpeg file into bitmap using paint.
But Illustrator CS2 wont recognixe the bmp file.

The is the message I am getting when I try to open an bitmap file.
Could not complete this operation. Reason: the plug-in made an invalid request of the Photoshop Adapter(error #-30500).
