vector drawings crash my pc

whenever i try to do vector-based drawings, my pc just starts running out of memory really fast. even the simplest drawing, like a square does it

i have 256 mb of ram and plenty fast processor. i have freehand mx and it does the same thing there, too. thing is, flash mx doesn't do this at all. what is up??

Hi,
I'm having a similar problem here. The drawing tool in Director is really irritating.
Here is a link that may be helpful. Its an Xtra that can import vectors that are created from outside.

yeah, but i want to draw in freehand since i have it and not illustrator or whatever
