I've been working with a CommVault engineer and DELL trying to get 1-Touch to work. After about 2 weeks the engineer said that the problem was caused by a disk access problem.
It turns out the Microsoft VDS service was not running so I enabled it and 1-touch started working correctly after running another system state backup. The CommVault person said that the VDS service needs to be running or you will not be able to run backups.
We had been running with out VDS since CommVault came out to do the site install.
We used to have to install DELL OpenManage and the RAID controller driver on a base OS prior to running a full idata agent restore but now that VDS is running we no longer have to.
