if I use the install script of vbulletin I get this error at step 4:

Database error in vBulletin Installer :

Invalid SQL: CREATE TABLE access (
userid int(10) unsigned DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL,
forumid smallint(5) unsigned DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL,
accessmask smallint(5) unsigned DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL
)
mysql error: Table 'access' already exists

mysql error number: 1050

Date: Friday 09th of August 2002 01:46:09 AM
Script: /vbulletin/admin/install.php?step=4

at the screen at step 4 the following message will appear:

Creating table access

There seems to have been a slight problem with the database.
Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.

An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

What can be the problem ?

The problem is that you already have a table named access, and vBulletin is trying to create a table named that. Remove or rename your old table and the vBulletin scripts should work fine. //Daniel
