(excuse me for crossposting - previous post should've been in this topic).

I trying desperately to find out what the list of bugfixes is between vbscript versions 5.0, 5.1. and 5.5.

We have differences in develop and staging systems where 5.0 and 5.1 are running (which of course is not a good idea). The 5.0 system has some stabilility problems which do not occur on the 5.1 environment. I want to persuade the systems administrator to upgrade to at least 5.1 (and possibly 5.5), but he won't do that unless I can prove that it won't break compatibility with existing code.

Now, while browsing the web, I found a statement which said that 5.0 (build 3715) was a BETA release and may contain a lot of bugs (which is the reason why I started to research this out). I cannot verify this story as the article may not come from a reliable source.

Furthermore, Micrsoft has NO documentation or fixlist for its scripting versions. However, on the MS site you are unable to get vbscript 5.0 (or any older release for that matter). On top of that, not a single resource on Microsoft.com refers to build numbers, and last but not least, they only talk about 5.5...

Does anybody have experience with this? If so; please share it with me. We're just a step away from deadline...

Thnx.
