Hi,

the examples from Macromedia do not work:
I have the Flash 3 plugin installed and Internet Explorer seems to believe he has Flash 5 capabilities.

Does anyone have a suggestion for me, please ?

Thanks!

I know that - the point is: I am working on a site for a company that is inside a firewall - and cannot download the sodded plugin... :-(
So, I need to detect any older plugin version BEFORE the download screen...

Thanks - some of these look pretty promising, especially the second one.
The first one at least told me that I could ommit the OBJECT part completely - whether that will help is the other issue, but it is interesting and MIGHT do something...
First I will try the script on the second link.
Thanks!
