Hi All,

I would require a VBScript to run disk cleanup on Windows Server 2003. This is to perform disk cleanup on remote servers. Or, is there any way to run disk cleanup on remote servers with out logging on to the server by any means (unattended). I would also like to schedule this activity. All servers belong to a Windows domain.

Any inputs would be really appreciated.

Thanks,

Keshav

Disk cleanup cannot be executed remotely. The solution is to use the task scheduler.

Documentation on this is rather scarce but it can be done. I worte a script to do this for my Admin Script Pack about a year ago.

You need to set a bunch of registry keys for the desired configuration and schedule a saved job. The whole thing can be automated if you are creative. (or invest in the Admin Script Pack :))

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
