VBScript files have replaced all my jpg. files....why?

I tried to copy pictures downloaded from my digital camera onto a CD and all the jpg. files were gone. In there place were VBScript files I couldn't open. How did this happen and is there any way to get those picture files back? Every jpg. file I save, I can't open.

That sounds like the "I Love You" virus or some sort of variant.

for a fix.. but I'm afraid the only way to save your JPG is to restore them from a backup, or download them again from your camera, if you haven't deleted them.
