Hello,

Im completely green to VBS and I am on a steep learing curve to learn some.

I have a project where I need to read data from a set of APIs via cURL commands and write it to a local MSSQL DB, or an access file, or even just a text file to then be processed by an IVR server. Data will then need to be pushed back in the other direction, so when a job is booked, data is written to the off site database via the API commands.

The Voicemail server (IVR) is capable of VBScripting within its application so I can use that to perform some scripts. More info here

This is an interesting project, but I am getting a little out of my depth.

Ill be honest. Im struggling with a place to start.

My main question is, can VBS do what I need it to do?

There are a number of people on this site happy to assist, but I think you need to sort out what it is you want to do first, create an action plan and document that for our community to get assistance.

Doubtful anyone is going to want to learn your IVR system just to assist you in figuring out how to do what you want from the VBScript perspective based on the vague data already provided.

Please post back, I am sure you IVR has to provide some sample code, the screenshot on the link you provided makes it look like they partially write code for you. Get things started with their tools and then post back where you need assistance and myself or others in the forum will be happy to assist.

I hope that helps.

Regards,

Mark
