Vbs logon script problem!

I have written a small VBScript just to popup when the user logs-on to give them a message. It seems that this cannot work unless the user logging on is a member of the Admin group! I used GPEDIT.MSC and set the logon.vbs script to be the logon script. There are no errors, its just that nothing happens.

Can I do it another way?
