I've had a very consistent, very annoying problem for a long time now, relating to the VBE Userform definition functionality. When I first compose a userform, things work fine. When I later come in and add a control to a userform, that control somehow doesn't "take": when I double-click it, VBE takes me to the code sheet, but does not create the corresponding default event handler (e.g., btnOK_click). In the VBE property dropdowns, the control is missing. Worse, when I try to run, Excel becomes unstable, and I've had occasions where the entire workbook has become corrupted beyond repair.
My workaround has been to remove the userform after every change (and saying yes to the "export?" question), then to re-import the userform. That clears the problem right up, but is obviously cumbersome.
I've asked here about this problem before, about a year ago, with no response. Maybe somebody new around these parts has encountered this?
I'd appreciate any insights
