I wonder what Microsoft is thinking when they expose all those events for Excel but only Open, Close, and New for Word. Is there any way to catch when a user delete or move a shape/picture in a document?? My macro insert special pictures into the document that I need to retrieve later on. For each picture, I create a bookmark to "tag" the picture position. If the user deletes or moves the picture, the bookmark will still be at the old position.

If the user is not supposed to delete or move them, you could use protect for forms to lock editing. However, if you need to have the document open...and the user CAN move or delete the images, then you are out of luck. There is no delete event.

Question: when you "tag" the image, are you bookmarking the image itself, or its location? If you are bookmarking the image itself, then if the user moves it, the bookmark moves with it. If they delete it, the bookmark is deleted as well.
