Hi all,

When using VBA (from within MS Access) to send an email, Outlook always prompts with "Another program is attempting to send mail - proceed?" (or something similar).

I searched Outlook's security features, but can't see anything relevant to switch this prompting off.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Darrylle

Hi chandlm,

This is the calling code:

DoCmd.SendObject , , , strEmailAdd, , , strSubject, , False

The message from Outlook is:
"A Program is trying to send e-mail on your behalf. Do you want to allow this?
If this is unexpected, it may be a virus and you should choose 'No'"

It allows me to send, but I would like to get rid of the message.

Win 2000, Office 2000 (Access/Outlook 2000).

Regards,

Darrylle

When you get that prompt it means you have the Outlook security patch installed. As far as I know there is only one way around it. It is called the redemption method and is a library that can be referenced in your code. The site to get this is at
