Hi,

I need to be able to open Word, create a new Document and open the Insert Picture from Scanner dialogue. Creating an instance of Word and a new Document is easy enough but try as I might I cant seem to find anything in the help file about bringing up the relevent dialogue box.

This is for a system of recording written letters received from customers for reference throughout our area offices. I realise that asking someone to click on Insert, Picture, from scanner is hardly the most taxing demand but it would also finish the system off if I could.

Thanks for all assistance

Tim

I did something similar but it was so long ago I don't remember the exact steps. Maybe this will at least get you started. I think you need to create a template for your new word document. In the template you can load an image. Try putting the dialog box in VBA and use the selection to copy it to the filename used in the template. Then open the new document specifying the template and it should pull in the image you just copied.
