I would look through the VBA help in the application you are going to program in. The software may also include some sample files that you can poke through. The VB portion is typically the same for applications that incorporate VBA automation. The remaining libraries are specific to the application.
What application are you looking to automate? If you are just looking into general VBA, you may want to start with standard VB.
