VBA:Issue with Generating TOC in Word 2000

Hi all,
I have an issue with Word 2000. I am able to generate TOC programmatically. But it works fine with Office xp. But same code throws error on word 2000. Sometimes it throws error like "Method ~ of object ~ falied" and sometimes "Automation error- server threw exception". Why am i getting this errors on word 2000. Is it problem with word 2000 or am I missing something here.
