VBA formatting in use

Is there any way to view the the "formatting in use" in word document through vba. its not same as styles

Not sure what you mean. You are free to find ANY property that is available in the MS Word Object Model.

Indeed, it is not, which is all the more reason to only use proper styles.

Skip is correct that any property in the object model should be able to be seen. "Formatting in use" is NOT a property.
