VBA authentication

Hi everyone,

I am using an Excel application as an frontend for a mySQL database. The file is available for download on my company's intranet for everyone to download.
I want to authenticate the user when the open the file based on their pc's password.
I was wondering if there is a way to authenticate the user throught VBA against PC's credentials( and want them to be able to get data from the db that is pertinent to pc thy're using).

Any input is greatly appreciated.
