Hi all,
I was wondering if there is a way to access the color of text on an attachmate screen using VBA? I am working with a program signals that it has received an invalid input by changing the color the text on the screen to a charming lime green. I would like my macro to note when invalid inputs were entered, and this color change seems to be the only indication that such an error has occurred.
I am a fairly competent though mostly self taught programmer with a background in C++ and VBA.
Thanks a million!
David

PS. Sorry for the cross post - I am not sure exactly which forum this should be in.

I'm afraid you won't be able to drill down to that property with VBA or EXTRA's built in macro editor. I've wanted to check whether a field was read-only before and wasn't able to find any methods like this in the library. You can browse through the properties and methods that they've exposed but I'm guessing properties like color, read-only, etc are within the emulator code itself.

streetprog,
Thanks for the reply. We unfortunately came to the same conclusion.
