VBA and MS Project 2000

I'm using MS Project 2000 and want to use VBA. I can't seem to get a downloaded VB template (MS Project 2000 SDK), which I got from MS download centre, to work.
The whole VB thing in my version of Project seems a little bit lame but maybe its because i've not used it before
