I'm about to start a new project and I don't know whether to do it in VB6 or .NET. I love VB6 and have used it for years but I don't want to code a project in VB6 and have it become obsolete in the next few years.

The project will be dealing with IP cameras and many picture boxes if that matters any. I also have both VB6 and .NET installed so that's no issue.

Any input?
thanks

Suppose you have VB5 and VB6 installed in your machine.. what will you prefer to use?

Only issue here I can see is not all the machines have .NET Framework instlled. But for a long run .NET will be appropriate.

thread222-1087341 is a very long discussion about vb6 and vb.net, if you're interested.
