What is the difference between the learning edition and the "normal" version?

Is the learning edition restricted in any way or is it just a different licence?

I want to learn VB6 and would intend creating executables for my own use (but not for distribution).

I have the Enterprise edition, so I am not 100% sure but I believe that the Learning Edition doesn't allow you to compile/create .exe files. Rob Marriott

The learning edition does not have some components the the professional version does. It is missing the masked edit box (although you can work without it) and some other controls. With the Learning edition ADO does not have the 'Find' method when working with databases (This I feel is required.). Also you cannot create dll's etc. The learning edition is a good place to start and when your needs require more, an upgrade (at a reduced price) can be purchased.
