vb6 is very slow

vb6

when i open my project, visual basic take about 20 to 25 minutes for open it.

and when open, then i press the bar space from the any code of any form of my project and vb go thinking for about another 25 to 30 minutes...

what is wrong or what is happened

Another thing you can do is delete your .vbw file. That way the project will start with none of your forms open and load much quicker.

The times that happened to me (2 minutes, not 25), my disk was going bad or the disk was so full that the swap file was too small. try loading VB6.

I've also seen this where the project had COM references that VB couldn't resolve. Open the .vbp file in Notepad and see if it references stuff other than the usual stdole2.tlb.

64mb ram
10gb disk (50% free disk space)

free's the memory and hd
