Hey,
i have developed software on my laptop, VB6SP5, on Win XP.
It uses excel xp to get data from and place data in worksheets. all works perfectly.
I packaged and deployed to a win2k box, with office 2000.
First drama was trying to install it! so i removed all the files in the bootstrap section, and mscvrt.dll.
Finally installed, but when i run it it creates a exception when it tries to open an excel file...
I think it is caused by the different excel versions...
Shouldn't Vb package all files required?

is it possible to do it so it doesn't matter what version, if any version of what is installed???

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks

Tim

Have you referenced the excel object within your project or are you using the createobject function?

I was standing in the park, wondering why frisbees got bigger as they came closer... then it hit me!
