I'm a very newbie on VB2008. I'm trying to to import data from an Excel spreadsheet into a SQL database. How do I do that?

Well, for starts, welcome to the love hate relationship we all share with Visual Studio.

If this is a one off thing, you can actually do this in SQL Enterprise Manager.

If this is a regular thing, and the data is in a consistent format, then you have something you can work with.

You are going to want to research working with the Excel object. Working with SQL commands.

Most of the people here will point you in the right direction, but you are responsible for doing most of the leg work.

Let me/us know when you have something started. Posting in here, with no code, no real clue what you are doing, and no detailed problem is a good way to not get an answer.
