VB using Interpreter/compiler

I m new to VB...could anybody plss tell me whether VB is using Interpreter or Complier...

You can choose between p-code and fully compiled. Look in the Project|Properties menu at the compile tab

during development,when it checks for array bound or anything, is it check for any interpreter....
