Hi ppl
I need to create a vbscript that copyes a backup database to other computer which have seven folders one for each day. How can I do a simple task like if today is Monday (day 1) copy the file to other computer (imagine server2) to a folder backup\monday. If today is saturday copy to server2\backup\saturday and so on.

If possible, How can I zip the file before sending it?

Not sure you have to use a vbscript, although you could. Have you thought about using Scheduled Tasks?

e.g.

Monday.bat
xcopy ............

Tuesday.bat
.............

Or schedule the same .bat or .cmd file for each day of the week.
