We may be able to obtain a copy of Visual Studio .net 2003. Can we use this to develop stand-alone modules called either by a custom Macola menu item or from VBA code? Or are we restricted to VB6? I have not been able to find any documentation on this issue. We are mostly NT server-Win98 workstation running SQL 7 and Macola version 7.5.103f.

Thanks.

You would need to call your VB.Net executables from Macola's flexibility package or from a Macola menu item, but it should work. In fact any executeable should work from either place.

If you wish to use DLLs developed in VB.NET you will need to use COM Interop. EXE applications can be called from a Macola menu just as any other application can be called. EXE applications can also be invoked from VBA if you desire.
