Hi all. Is it possible to invoke a Unix command from within VB, such as a grep and returning the results to the VB front end, please?

You can invoke Unix commands from VB as long as you have 3rd party tools that can connect to unix boxes. I have used them before, but not for a long time. What you need is RemoteExecute. I will check to see if I can find anymore details,
