Hello.. I am just learning still this VB stuff.. Sometime ago I started ... now coming back... that was B4 i moved from Win98 to XP... I had MSDN CD installed requiring having the CD to use

that with all the vb, foxpro, access etc help KB stuff)

Something when wrong... I tried to reinstall, uninstall, reinstall etc... these CD's again on my XP it say something about 16bit, appreantly they don't work on XP's????

And when pressing F1 or help in Visual Basic.. my computer saying no MSDN ????

Two Questions

1) am i doing something whereas installing these CD's and i must now get a XP version of help..

2) how can I engage the VB help files that were orignally installed via my VB6 CD... (BTW I am out of state from home, I do not have my VB CD with me)

Any help .. thanks in advance

Rm

Microsoft changed their online help format after VB6 was released (went from WinHelp to HtmlHelp), and that broke the F1 help action. You need MSDN subscription cds that are earlier than January 2001, or the discs that came with your copy of Visual Studio/Visual Basic.

The MSDN CD for Oct 2001 was the last one that integrated with VB6. You should be able to load that version (or earlier) along with the latest one.

Thanks, SonOfEmidec1100, I knew it was in that timeframe.
