I have looked all over. Sad part is I had it working in VB5 before (last year B4 a reload). I am in VB6 now, and I am using the CRW32 curently as my crystal app. (I haev Crystal 7 and 8, but have moved back to the included CRW app as I am stumped).

*** PROBLEM: Crystal report (CR) is showing ALL data from DB, and ignoring the bound data control.

*** CURRENT SETUP:
- ssearch.rpt created in crw32 (vb6).
- ssearch.rpt linked to DB and fields in crw32 at design time.
- dtaDBGrid (data control) linked to DB.
- dtaDBGrid data selected with SQL from DB.
- CrystalReport1 (crystal control) linked to datDBGrid as DataSource.
- Button control with click property = CrystalReport1.action=1

*** WHAT I EXPECT TO HAPPEN:
I expect that when I click the button control, it looks at the data control and passes the info to the crystal report. The report SHOULD show ONLY that data, not the ENTIRE DB.

*** WHAT IS HAPPENING INSTEAD:
The report "seems" to be ignoring the "bound" data control and skipping to the report with full DB access.

*** WHEN IT USED TO WORK:
Last year I was in VB5 with associated CRW (included report designer), it was working. Funny, or not, I can not remember more about it.

What I DO know is that when I look at the old report (that works with the old DB, with different field names) it says in DB LOCATION "Bound Data Control, and OLE DB" (in crystal 7+, in CRW32 I can not open the report? Grr..)

In my NEW report ther location is the actual location of the DB being manipulated. Should it read bound control? Is that my problem? If so, how do I do that?

HELP!!!!

Thanks for your time in advance.
