Is there any way for a VB application to have access to a DCOM object in MTS without the client connecting to a domain server?

We have an N-tier application that works fine for all users within a domain but whenever we try to install the client package to a workstation not connected to a domain we alwasy get 'Can't create object' error. Is there any work around for this? Pls help!

Using DCOM,you must configure the client and server in a domain.
Maybe you can use other connection protocol such as socket, etc. But you'll lose some secure properties supplied by DCOM.
