For some strange reason the 'Make' item in my 'File' menu has become disabled (grayed out), effectively preventing me from compiling my code for a standard project. However, if I have a project GROUP, then the option to 'Make' the entire group is enabled, so I have a workaround. I'm just intrigued whatever has caused this. Any ideas out there?

Not sure why it happens but you can solve it [smile]

Go to View-->Toolbars-->Customize.

Make sure Menu Bar is highlighted and hit Reset.

Hope this helps

Many thanks HarleyQuinn - that's fixed it. I have no idea what caused it, and have never encountered it before in 10 years of VB! Anyway, thanks for responding.
