VB 6 created DLL from VB5

I have created an activex dll using VB6. I need to call it from a program that I wrote in VB5. Will that DLL require the VB6 runtime dll or is the activex DLL not dependent on the runtime???? Thanks!! I'd try this myself but all my 4 machines have vb6 on them already.
