VB-43050 - terminal programming

Morning all, I've a VB-43050 which the customer inheirited and wants to use as it's in good shape. I'm trying to program through the RS232 port and following the manual. But I'm getting this error message: ERROR:ERROR ID CODE OF PCAS. Could someone tell me what that means please.

sounds like you dont own a dongle for dbs manger!

Well, I'm actually connected but I can't seem to get the emulation right. I'm going to assume that DBS manager is the software for this switch, correct? Is it still available, and what type of a dongle do I need for it??

If you are a certified dealer it can be downloaded
on the site and there is a way to spoof the software
so you don't need a dongle(the dbs has been out of production for some time so purchase of said dongle is not an option)
