VB 2010 Abacus program.

Around 8 years ago I downloaded a VB 2010.Net program from Microsoft which has source code for creating and manipulating an
on screen Abacus.

The program works when it is run directly from the source code. However when an executable is created this crashes out with
an undecipherable error.

Microsoft are uninterested as the program is "so old".

Have you any ideas?

Not really enough info to help at all here.

e.g. when you say 'undecipherable', what do you actually mean? perhaps if you could post a screenshot of this error someone here might be able to actually decipher it

.net does not run from the source code, even in the IDE. Your app, when "run in the IDE", is actually being compiled into an .EXE and then executed.
