I don't suppose somebody knows what SCSI interface was used on the VAX 4600 system. Reason... I'm trying to assist someone in acquiring a new hard disk for their VAX 4600, among other things they are unsure what SCSI version is used. I thought if somebody could just tell me that the VAX 4600 was deployed with such and such SCSI drive, I could go from there. Hopefully this is not to vague, I'm just trying to go on what I know.

Hi,

Vax 4600 (assume you mean vax 4000-600) did not ship with scsi as standard. Disks were normally DSSI inteface.
If scsi were installed it would be on a KZQSA controller

Drives on the DSSI bus will be prefixed RF whislt SCSi will be prefixed RZ

Hope this helps
