varying colors of text in a selection box

Is there a way to make some option items in a selection box one color and others a different color. For example to change the color of one of the options to yellow to "highlight" it?

Just set a style for the option:
<select>
<option style=&quot;color: brown;&quot;>Brown</option>
<option style=&quot;color: yellow;&quot;>Yellow</option>
</select>

This won't work in NN4...
