I would like to create a report where the page header prints all the way across the page and the detail lines which follow appear in two columns. Is this possible?

Robert

When you go into File/ Page setup it just asks for the number of columns. There is no way to specify a different no. of columns for different parts of the report.

I only want 1 column for the page header. I want 2 columns for the detail section.

Your page header is the width of your report. You detail section can be 1/2 or 1/3 of the page/report width. The column width can be independent of the page width.

I was assuming that the whole report would columnize. I was wrong. Apparently the detail section and group headers and footers columnize. Page headers and footers do not. Not sure about report headers and footers. Anyway I didn't have to do anything. Thanks.
