I need to set 12 variables before I start displaying.

Here is the situation

I have an amount for each month, however they are in difference records, so I have 12 records who are all the same exceot for the month and amount. I need to display this

Id Name Jan Feb March April etc...

field1 Field2 Field3 Field3 Fields3 Field3

Meaning the same field from each of the next records is getting called Field3 is the totals for the I d and name but for a different month

If anyone can help me that would be great

Variables are not needed to do this report. You can set up 12 if-then formulas like the following:

If month({datefield})=1 Then {Amount} else 0

Subtotal all 12 fields as needed and hide the details section.

Better still, check out cross tab reports. That is probably where you need to go with this report. Software Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine
