My import file can sometimes come with 10 columns and sometimes with more, where only 10 columns will be mapped to the target. Is it possible to create a mapping for this?
Else can I code in the column-mapping in some sort of reference table and create a Informatica mapping which will run read from this table and map the source data to the target table?

If it's always the first ten columns, then the rest should be ignored.

No, you can't do what you're asking, unfortunately.
