I am importing data from excel into word to prepare a catalog. I can successfully import the data using copy and paste running the macros from word. I run an excel macro to copy to clipboard and word macro to paste. Works fine, i just need to know when i am pasting a number or text from excel and paste into word because i have to treat them differently in word. Any ideas how i can tell word from excel about the data just pasted, in other words i need to pass a value from excel macro to word macro, be it a number, text or anything to identify the data, any suggestions
