Was wondering if anyone can help me. I have a CR XI R2 report (using Oracle DB) that I am trying to modify. Request was to add a 2000 character VARCHAR2 text field which contains comment text to the report. Report gets exported to Excel on a nightly schedule and distributed as an e-mail attachment. I tried to add the new text field by Inserting Section Below in a GF2a section. Original data is in GF2. The new comments field extends the width of the report. My issue is when I run the report and it gets exported to Excel, in a few occasions the last line of a few of the comment text fields would get cut off when exported to Excel. It is there if I manipulate the Excel row in the spreadsheet (make a particular row larger in Excel), but in some cases will not appear unless I do this. Think it is only occurring in the last row of the text. I do have it set to Can Grow in CR. Any thoughts? The report goes to Executives, so I would rather avoid them having to manipulate the row in Excel if they want to read the entire comment....

Are you referring to fitting the width or the height of the row to its content?
At least one of the 3rd-party Crystal Reports desktop schedulers listed at provides an option to adjust the excel column widths to the content (before automatically emailing the resulting file).

hth,
- Ido

view, export, burst, email, and schedule Crystal Reports.

Thanks Ido,
I am actually talking about a row (the last row) not appearing when I export to Excel... The width is fine... Once in Excel if I manipulate that Excel row, I can see the data is there, but it will not display (in only a small % of the time)unless I mess around with the row height after it has been exported...
