My company is currently evaluating replacements for our incredibly outdated ERP system. Two of the choices we've looked at are Vantage and Vista by Epicor. According to the sales representitive, the main difference between the two (outside of price) is that Vista does not have any multi-company capabilities. He said there were some other minor differences, but shyed away from explaining further. Can anyone here outline what some of these "minor" differences may be?

Thanks,

Hende

Hende, it is my understanding that the difference is a fair amount more than multi-company capabilities. It is my understanding that Vista is a sub-set of Vantage. Vista does not have nearly the number of screens as Vantage does. Which screens are missing, I do not know (and probably will be difficult to determine).
I assume the reason you are considering Vista is because of price.
You need to document all your critical requirements and get them to prove that Vista meets them all (or speak to companies using the latest version (VISTA 8) and confirm they use these features.

Yes Pratzt, we can speak in more detail if you like. The original reason for this posting is due to how much the sales rep has "hedged" on his discussion of the software and other details.

Should I post my email address on this site, or is there a better way to share info?

Thanks,

Hende

Pratzt,

I've sent an email to the address you posted. I am looking forward to your reply.

Thanks,

Hende
