So I am in the process of setting up my first Vantage Phone (K175) in my lab and I have some questions that are unclear.

Does anyone know any step-by-step on how to get this phone to K1xxB_SIP-R3_0_0_3_0007 or I would say Android 9.0

I don't want to use it with IP Office.
Just Android to run 3CX Client app and Vonage Business app.

With stock Android 6.0.1 that came with it, I'm unable to install these, as the system is outdated.

Please help.

1) Download firmware from support.avaya.com
2) Setup HTTP server with firmware in folder that will be served to phone
3) Point phone at HTTP server

*To upgrade to R3 firmware you must have V3 hardware older K175 phones can not upgrade to R3
**That is as much effort as I am putting into one of those POS phones without being paid.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

It seems to be K175D02A
Would that take R3 Firmware?

Do you have any step-by-step on how the HTTP server has to be configured?

I think the K175D02A is the Vantage 2 model. R3 firmware can not be loaded on the vantage 2 since the vantage 3 had a hardware update with upgrades on the CPU and RAM for much faster performance speed.

Latest Firmware for Vantage 2 is R2.2.X.

The bootup time on the vantage 3 is much faster than the 2nd version and as per the fact sheet the base stock OS is Andriod 9.0.

I do not see online what the R2.2.X Andriod OS is.

Looks like you have version 2 which will not run R3 firmware.

I have piles of notes on how this stupid phone works but no I do not have a step by step guide on how to do it. If you read the documentation, and try and have issues, go ahead and post again.

Somehow I was able to upgrade to R2_2_0_6

This really helped:
