Hi Looking for some advice with setting up a Vantage if I may.
Have one on test before we roll out to customers

So, it boots up and gets its K1xxSupgrade.txt as far as I can see.
(Autogenerated one)

Then it requests its .apk and gets a Temp moved response with the address of the external HTTP server but then never actually requests the file from the new server according to the logs on the HTTP server.

Additionally the file version that the IP Office puts in the K1xxSupgrade file is not available to download from the Avaya support site (minor version is different.

The autogenerated .apk referenced is 1.1.0.1 but I thought it should be looking for release 2?

Any help appreciated this is driving me nuts!

Download the R2.0 vantage firmware and the k1xxSupgrade included.
Then upload the K1xxSupgrade file into the IPO, replacing the existing one
Make sure you set the NUSR settings as SET_ADMINPSWD=x where x is the Vantage system password you need.
After your Vantage device booted up enter the settings with the Admin Password you defined and have a factory default reset.
If your http server is ok an reacheable you should see downloading all the the stuff, it could took half an hour.

Many thanks I think it was the logging in as admin and doing a factory reset.
Either way you accomplished in 5 lines what all the documentation could not!

many thanks!

Many Thanks

In monitor, I see this:

1285294964mS HTTP: Upgrade of H1xx or K1xx phones requires that the HTTP Server Address on the System tab to be properly configured with valid IP address
1285294964mS HTTP: 10.86.100.133(36614)-(80) HTTPSession: SendErrorResponse Code: 503, Entity: HTTP Server Address Invalid

But, in every other phone this port 80 works well.

Uow, I did this, and the device is now getting the files, but, for some reason he did not upgrade.

Many thanks,

I'm having the same issues. what http server did you use as the external one. I'm trying IIS but keep getting an errror that System update installation failed.

Same answer really. Read the manuals. IIS servers need additional MIME types configured to server the Vantage files.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
