I hope you want to just show the total value and not show that also as a stack. Am I right??? If so, create a new variable which is a summation of the required measures and then add a secondary axes and then make that a line graph and change the color of the line to the background color.

Hi
See if I go for a line graph then again the legends for that line are going to come which I dont want.
I tell you wat is happening. suppose there are three bars in a graph and each bar has 3 stacks. now each stack is showing its value. wat I simply want is to also have the total of each graph on their top.
If you can let me know your Mail ID I can sed you the pdf format so that you can view the report.

I can understand your problem. Yes the line graph legend is also going to come. If you don't need that then are two options. Have two graph blocks one beneath the other and don't have legends for the line graph block. Another way is reduce the area of the legend text to show only the required legend names. Have a look here .. Is that what you are looking at. There I have made sure that the legend of the Line graph is not shown by shrinking the height.

ya even I thought of overlapping. this thing can be done but its very troublesome to overlap the two graphs. I have left it as the last option.
reducing the width wont do because u dont know how many stacks are going to come in a bar. so the width has to be changed dynamically.
I must thank you for your support.
